You won't find a musical rulebook at The Social. One minute you're knee-deep in a filthy bassline, the next it's a forgotten soul gem, a disco bomb, a hip-hop break or something you can't quite put your finger on.
That's the beauty of it. Our DJs follow their ears, not a formula. Different backgrounds, different collections, different influences — all coming together to create a night where anything can happen and the next record could take you absolutely anywhere.
No genre police. No predictable playlists. No chasing trends. Just proper selectors digging deep, joining the dots and dropping records that make you turn to your mate and say, “What the hell is THIS?”

Like all the best ideas, The Social started with a great night out. After Dean's 50th birthday celebration, three friends — Dean, Chris and Sam — came together with a simple thought: why don't we do more of this?
Each had spent years DJing and promoting in their own right. Different experiences and influences, but a shared belief that the best nights bring great music and good people together.
And so, in 2023, The Social was born. No big production, no rigid musical rules. Just proper selectors, quality records and a welcoming room full of music lovers.
Three years on, the nights have brought regulars, guests and new friends together. What began as a birthday celebration has become a community built around sharing music.

If anyone can claim to have started The Social without quite realising it, it's Dean. His 50th birthday celebration sparked the idea that brought three experienced DJs and promoters together. With years behind the decks and organising music nights, Dean helps keep that original energy at the heart of The Social.

A DJ, promoter and lifelong music enthusiast, Chris has spent years collecting, discovering and sharing great tunes. He's drawn to records that catch you by surprise or deserve another spin. The Social brings together his favourite parts of music: discovering sounds and sharing them with good people.

Completing the founding trio, Sam brings years of his own DJing and promoting experience. He followed his own musical path long before the three came together, and shares their enthusiasm for quality DJs, memorable records and welcoming nights. Three musical journeys, one shared philosophy.
